DoSA Engages Hostel Owners and Managers on Key Student Accommodation Matters

The Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, held a strategic meeting with hostel owners and managers on Tuesday, 21st April 2026, to discuss important issues relating to student accommodation and welfare.

A major highlight of the meeting was discussions on hostel price negotiations aimed at ensuring affordability and fairness for students seeking off-campus accommodation.

Participants were also informed about the upcoming training programme for Hall and Hostel Assistants, scheduled to take place on 29th and 30th April 2026. The training is expected to equip assistants with the necessary skills and knowledge to better support students within their residential facilities.

In addition, DoSA announced plans for the annual general hostel inspection exercise, which will be conducted from 11th to 22nd May 2026. The inspection is intended to assess standards, safety, and overall conditions within hostels affiliated with the university.

The meeting also featured a presentation by Datacom Telecommunications on the provision of internet connectivity services in hostels to enhance academic work and improve students’ digital access.

The engagement reflects DoSA’s continued commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to improve student accommodation standards and promote a conducive living environment for all students.
